Everest Base Camp Trekking

Airport pick-up and transfer to hotel
One of Adventure Pilgrims Trekking’s respondent will pick you from airport and transfer to hotel. Introduction about Nepal and the experienced trekking guide and short briefing about your trekking trip from the guide.In the evening, you’ll have free or optional Nepalese Cultural Program with dinner.
Gear check up and rest day
Before we start our great trip to Annapurna Base Camp the guide will check your trekking gears and let you know about necessary items that you don’t have. Hike around Thamel or optional City Tour in Kathmandu, Nepal
Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus
We depart from Kathmandu at 7 AM with tourist bus and reach Pokhara at around 2 pm . You can visit around Fewa lake and walk along the lake side and stay at a hotel in Pokhara.
Pokhara – Naya Pul-Ulleri (2050m/6725ft)
1.5 hr drive and 5 hrs trek.
Early at around 7:30 am, we start our drive to trekking start point to Naya Pul. From Naya Pul, we follow the south bank of the Modi river. After several hours of trek, we will pass through sub tropical valley forests, sometimes on the carved trail on the side of the cliff. After lunch, we cross the Modi Khola (river) via a suspension bridge to the village of Tikhedhunga . We further trek along the trail quite steep at times. We reach Ulleri which is a community of Poons(Mongolian Ethnic with their own culture and tradition) and is famous for its 2,500 stairs pathway by late afternoon for overnight.
Ulleri – Ghorepani (2950m/ 9020ft)
It consists of 4 – 5 hrs trek.
We make our ascent to the Ghorepani village. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means horse-water owing to its role as an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker’s stop. Ghorepani is an interesting place with small shops and stalls for selling local products and craft.It is a gateway to Mustang Valley which lies in the border of Tibet. The town has two parts: one in a saddle and the other a few hundred feet lower. Since Ghorepani lies quite higher than our previous stop, we begin to feel the chilly weather especially in the evenings. Overnight at Ghorepani.
Ghorepani – Poon Hill – Tadapani (2700m/8,860ft)
It consists of 6-7 hrs trek
This day, our guide will wake you up early in the morning . This will be a special day because we conquer Poon Hill- an icon of Annapurna region. We climb the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3200mtrs). It takes about 45 minutes to ascend with the stairs to the top. The efforts will be rewarded with spectacular sunrise view over Machhapuchre(6,993m), Dhaulagiri(8,167m), Nilgiri(6,650m), and the Annapurnas, Manasulu(8,163m). Three Highest Mountain above 8,000m in the world with spectacular view along with the sunrise. After taking photos and having some coffee or tea or hot chocolate, we return back to Ghorepani Village. Upon breakfast, we head east and climb a nearby ridge. We descend through Rhododendron forest, pass by Magnificient waterfalls along the way to Deurali Village which owns 300 Yaks and is famous for Yak Cheese and reach Tadapani for overnight stay.
Tadapani to Sinuwa via Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft)
It consists of 6 hrs trek.
From Tadapani, we make a steep descent through the dense and dark forest. The route passes through the west bank of the Modi Khola. Then, we descend steeply down the village of Chuile coming over to the Kimrong Khola. Then, we continue a steep climb till to Chhomrong crossing a Binocular hill known as Salaphu. Upon arrival at Chhomrong which is a very famous Gurung Village (known for tradition Nepalese Folk Melody as a messenger before 1990’s), We encounter with the Mighty peak of Annapurna South, with the Fishtail Mountain (known as the holy Mountain Machhapuchhare) facing it across the valley. Chhomrong is a beautiful village located on the lap of giant Annapurna massive. Upon leaving behind Chhomrong along the Modi Khola, we will be at inhabited foothills into the high step and wooded slopes of Himalayas. We cross the suspension bridge then trek up to Sinuwa Danda. Overnight at Sinuwa.
Sinuwa to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): Via Dovan (2580m/8460ft)
It includes 6 hrs trek
The ascend from Sinuwa becomes somewhat flatter. The trail passes through thick and dark arresting Rhododendron forest up to Khuldighar. Then the trail passes through deep bamboo and rhododendron forest to the village of Dovan. The day starts with gentle gradual ascend following the trail above the river through a thick bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests up the side of the canyon. We cross two streams over small bridges. The trail further passes through solitary places. The nature’s wilderness and solitariness gives peace of mind.Before Himalaya Hotel, you will cross a temple which has The God known as Annapurna Baraha .From here to the Annapurna Base Camp , the path is known as the Vegeterian Trial. No Meat items can be found .There is a possibility of seeing a variety of species of wildlife such as wild pig, deer, and snow leopard in this path Overnight at Deurali. (B, L, D)
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft): Via Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700m/12135ft)
It consists of 5-6 hrs trek
We start our trek to Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC). The trail climbs gently through a river bed and then it rises steeply over the mountain side.It consists of Summer Trial and winter trial. There are also avalanche prone areas at some points on the trail. After about half an hour’s walk from Deurali, we will find ourselves in middle of river bed surrounded by giant snow-covered mountains. When the sun rises, the snow on mountains shine and river valley is filled with warm sun rays. The hike to Machhapuchhare Base Camp is somewhat strenuous but the unfolding views of the majestic Machhapuchre are certainly a rewarding experience.
On the way to Annapurna Base Camp from Machhapuchhare Base Camp, the vegetation disappears. We will encounter with the snow boulders melting and forming small streams. The path widens as we enter the Sanctuary, follows a stream, and then climbs to a few huts alongside a moraine. Upon arrival at this juncture, we will have sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above the sanctuary. Annapurna Base Camp sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding panorama of the 360 degrees. The heart inspiring views of Machhapuchre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli and other peaks will be the boon of our hard efforts. Climax of our trip almost ends today! Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13550ft).
Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft):
It consists of 6 hrs trek.
Our Guide will wake you up at dawn. We relish the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas from Annapurna Himal with Annapurna glacier and Annapurna Base Camp Valley accomplishing your dream to wish the Himalayan Lord.Here you can take your memories photographed. Upon our breakfast, we start descending from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo back through Machhapuchre Base Camp, Deurali / accross Annapurna Baraha Temple , Dovan and finally reach Bamboo. Heading back down to the valley is much easier than climbing up. We will see the waterfalls that drop down from a high point to the rocks below . We further pass through the forests with great views of Fishtail and Hiunchuli mountains. Overnight at Bamboo.
Bamboo to Jhinudada Hotspring (1780m):
It consists of 5 hrs trek
Upon our retreat from Bamboo, we trek back to Sinuwa and then descend to Lower Chomrong. Then again we ascend on the thousand stony steps taking us to Upper Chomrong. From Chomrong, the path diverts towards left ascending towards the Jhinudada. mostly the trial consists of stairs through which we proceed downwards towards the hotspring . from the front valley , you’ll see the Fishtail, Annapurna South and wider valley of Pokhara . you’ll arrive at the hotel in Jhinudada , check-in the room , get ready with swimming customs and head down to the hotspring, one of the natural treatment for skin disease and uric acids. However, the cold through in your body from the high regions all exit while having the hotbath on the hotspring.overnight in Jhinudada.
Trek from Jhinudada (1780m.) to Pothana (1990m.)
It takes about 6 hours.
First part of your trek is steeply down following stone staircase to New Bridge .You’ll have to cross a typical suspension bridge above the Modi River originating from Annapurna Base Camp Now, your trail steeply ascends following the stone staircase up to Landruk. The trail ascends gently for early two hours and again ascends steeply for an hour to Deurali (2150m.) passing through Tolkha village (1850m.). From this point you can see panoramic view of Dhaulagiri I (8167m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Hiunchuli (6441m.), Fishtail (6997m.), Annapurna III (7755m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.) and Lamjung Himal (6930m) . Pothana is also known as the second Poon Hill for the Gorgeous Himalayan Panaromic Scenery .Stay overnight at lodge.
Trek from Pothana to Dhampus Phedi (1113m.)
It takes about 3 hours.
Your trail descends gradually for at least an hour and follows gravel road for two hours and then steeply descends to Phedi passing through Dhampus village, paddy fields and forest protected by local community surrounded by Panaromic mountain Views of Annapurnas and beautiful Pokhara Valley Upon your arrival at Dhampus Phedi, we will take a vehicle to reach Pokhara at early afternoon and explore around Pokhara.Stay at pokhara overnight
Pokhara to Kathmadnu by tourist bus
We leave from hotel to Tourist Bus Stand in Pokhara at 7 AM and depart at 7:30 with tourist bus and reach Kathmandu at around 2 pm.It takes about 6 -7 hrs . Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Departure to International airport
As we are saying farewell to Nepal for this trip, we will drop you to the airport for your safe journey to your sweet home or you can join us to our other activities like White Water River Rafting, Jungle Safari, Everest Base Camp Trekking, Nepal Tour and many more
